It happened on Oxford Avenue near Levick Street around 12:15 a.m. Friday.
The teen was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center with multiple injuries. He is in stable condition.
Police investigating the matter say at this time it appears to be an accident.
According to police, the teen walked in front of the vehicle against the red light.
However, an investigation continues into this accident.
