Officer Sean Jang is facing counts including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment for the alleged incident on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old officer was arraigned Friday and released after posting bail. He has been with the department for four years.
Police say Jang will be assigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of an investigation.
Jang did not have a lawyer listed in court records.
