It was just before 10:30 a.m. that a fire broke out in the 3100 block of Custer Street.
Initial reports indicated that some occupants of the home were trapped in the upper floor of the structure. All the occupants made it out safely.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire officials are unsure what touched off the blaze.
