Lost college ring returned after 20 years
LIMERICK, Pa. - September 18, 2011
Brett Morris found the ring while doing landscaping near the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick.
It turned out to be a Villanova University ring from the class of 1950.
Morris did research to find that the owner, George Pequignot, passed away.
While he couldn't return the ring to its rightful owner, Morris was able to give the ring to Pequignot's son.
"Its special and I really appreciate the consideration of these great folks to find this and to persistently pursue me to get it back. It's touching," said Clay Pequignot.
Pequignot believes his father lost the ring while working on a family member's soybean farm in Doylestown.
Happy that the ring was returned, Pequignot now plans to keep the ring in a display case.
