About 6:00 a.m., on Thursday, a tractor trailer carrying horses, went out of control in the Northbound lanes of the highway just south of the service area in Newark, Delaware.
The trailer plowed through the median separating the road and crossed over the Southbound lanes.
It landed in a ditch just off the shoulder of the road.
The trailer reached the ditch without hitting any of the opposing traffic in the Southbound lanes.
The accident did not cause any injuries to the horses or any people, including the driver of the trailer.
The accident scene is closed to traffic, while police investigate.
