Twenty-four-year-old James Lee Troutman of Souderton is charged with first-degree murder in Montgomery County in the May 9 death of Skyler Rae Kauffman.
The (Pottstown) Mercury says prosecutors said in papers filed Thursday that jurors should not be "unduly insulated" from a full understanding of the crime. Defense lawyer William Craig Penglase will be able to challenge the request in a hearing before trial begins in January.
