The accident happened at the intersection of Rising Sun Avenue and West Westmoreland Street at around 2:30 p.m.
Three people inside the cars were transported to Temple University Hospital. Their injuries are unknown.
15 to 20 minutes later, Septa bus "C" had to break suddenly to avoid the accident.
While doing this, two people who were standing on the bus fell and were injured.
They were also transported to Temple with non-life-threatening injuries.
