15-year-old Winston Charleston took his mother's car for an early-morning joyride that ended in a three-car collision near the intersection of Academy and Willits roads in Northeast Philadelphia.
Witnesses say at around 2:00 a.m., Charleston's vehicle went flying off I-95 with the headlights off and a State Police cruiser close behind.
He then blasted through a traffic light at Frankford Avenue, before slamming head-on into another vehicle.
The crash killed 22-year-old Daniel Fouracre and injured seven others.
A judge sentenced the teen to four years in delinquent placement. Charleston will also be placed on probation until the age of 21.
