It happened just after midnight at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 1120 Pulaski Highway.
The suspect entered Walgreens and approached an employee at the pharmacy counter.He presented a demand note for prescription narcotics implying that he had a gun.
The employee then turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotic medication.
The suspect fled the store on foot with the narcotics.
A short time later, a trooper patrolling the area spotted a pedestrian matching the description of the suspect.
He was arrested an identified as Donald E. Hardy, and charged with the robbery.
