A demolition crew found the clothed remains Saturday morning when a worker spotted a skull under some debris.
Capt. Laurence Nodiff, commander of the South Detectives division, says there was no immediate indication of foul play.
He says the medical examiner's office will try to positively identify the remains and determine a cause of death.
