Man freed from car after head-on crash in Hockessin, Del.

A man was freed from a burning car after a head-on crash Monday morning in Hockessin, Delaware

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lancaster Pike and Old Wilmington Road.

One driver was trapped inside his car as it caught fire.

Volunteers from the Regal Heights nursing home rushed over with fire extinguishers to help put out the flames.

The driver was freed with the jaws of life and airlifted to Christiana Hospital.

An investigation into this crash is now underway.
