If you love mint you know that it can literally take over your garden, but if you like the way it looks in the landscape, try this.
Plant your mint in a large terra cotta pot and bury it so the upper rim is ground level. The pot will act as a barrier to keep the plant from spreading.
If you have broken pots you can use them for drainage, but why not use them for markers too?
Take nice clean pieces, not jagged ones and use a permanent marker to label your plants and then push the pieces of terra cotta into the ground near your plants.
Use terra cotta pots for holding utensils and other party items the next time you're entertaining outdoors.
Speaking of entertaining, why not use terra cotta saucers as cute coasters on your porch or patio!
Make a small birdbath with a large pot. Turn a pot upside down to create the base for your bath, then rest a large saucer on top of the overturned pot and fill it with water.
Your little feathered friends will love it! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
