Police say, the man walks into dealerships and puts down a $1500 deposit on a car.
The suspect comes back the next day to say he's changed his mind. Officials believe he's trying to get the dealership to cut him a check.
"He would take that check, counterfeit it and attempt to cash it at several different banks," said Det. Sgt. Scott Selisker of the Warminster Police.
According to investigators, he has pulled this scheme in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
