Vintage plane flips, spills fuel at NJ airport

ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. - August 24, 2012

It happened around noon at the Trenton-Robbinsville Airport in Robbinsville, N.J.

Witnesses tell Action News a small vintage aircraft flipped over on the runway while landing and starting leaking fuel.

Video from Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed the biplane lying upside down at the edge of the runway.

The pilot suffered only minor injuries.

Hazmat crews worked to clean up the spilled fuel.

The single-engine Stearman Model M-2 was built in 1929.
