The robbery took place just before 3:00 a.m. on the 4500 block of Castor Avenue.
Officials say the suspect pulled a handgun on the store clerk and then made off with a $100 cash and a carton cigarettes.
The suspect was last seen on Castor Avenue heading towards Roosevelt Boulevard.
There are no reports of any injuries and police are investigating.
