Trooper Adam Reed says the crash happened Saturday afternoon on Route 11/15 in Watts Township in Perry County. Reed says a pickup truck driven by 69-year-old Duncannon resident Stella Burgard was headed north when it crossed into the southbound lanes and hit a car. A third vehicle then hit the car from behind.
Burgard was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the car Burgard hit also died. They were 22-year-old driver Jessica Bennett and 21-year-old passenger Jasmine Burns. Both were from Windsor.
The two occupants of the third vehicle were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed for about four hours after the crash.
