It was around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday when firefighters were called out to the Maple Hill apartment complex, located at 213 Maple Avenue.
When they arrived they found one of the apartments, and were able to quickly get the flames under control.
One adult was transported to the hospital with burns.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to help three families displaced by the fire.
The fire is under investigation.
