It happened at the corner of 13th and Pike in Hunting Park at 6:30 p.m.
Police say a 36-year-old man was shot in the left hip.
Medics took him to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
The victim did not work at the store.
Police believe an argument led to the shooting.
