The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 2000 block of North Stillman Street.
The van the man was driving was hit with a dozen bullets, wounding the victim in the back.
The 29 year old was rushed to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
So far, there is no word on any arrests or a motive.
