Police investigate Southwest Philadelphia grocery store burglary

Burglary at Five Star Supermarket

Police are investigating the burglary of a grocery store in Southwest Philadelphia.

Officers were called to the Five Star Supermarket at 60th and Springfield Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to investigators, thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash were taken.

Police say it appears the burglar or burglars got in through the roof.
