It happened around 1:35 p.m. Tuesday on the 5100 bock of 11th Street.
Initial reports indicate that the victim was shot in the arm. He was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital in stable condition.
Police say three men were seen fleeing the scene on foot.
No arrests have been made.
