A snow plow overturned on Interstate 95 in Delaware on Monday morning.

The crash happened at 10:49 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near the DelDOT salt and supply silo in Newport.

Police say the truck driver, 33-year-old Charles Purnell, was plowing the right shoulder when the vehicle hit a ditch, causing him to lose control and overturn.

Purnell attempted to regain control, police said, but the plow struck the guardrail and the vehicle overturned onto its passenger side.

Purnell was taken to Christiana Hospital for a minor injury.

Police say he was not cited for this crash.
