It happened just before 9:00 Thursday night on the 3000 block of Agate Street.
Police say a domestic dispute got out of hand and someone used a knife and stabbed the victim in the armpit and back.
The victim, in his 40s, was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
Three people have been taken into custody but no word on any charges.
Police are still investigating.
