And she says the new Flipp app is a great way to find out what's on sale -- without taking the time to sort through all those weekly sales circulars.
Weaver explains, "With the Flipp app, you can put in your zip code or use geo-tracking and it will find your location, and it will pull in all of your available circulars for any given week."
You can find deals at supermarkets, drug store chains, big box and department stores. You can even pick which retailers are your favorites.
Then -- on your phone or iPad -- you can virtually flip through the circulars, or search for an item you know you need.
Weaver says, "It shows you what the price is, when the prices are valid, and then all you have to do if you want to save that deal for later, you touch it (and) it makes your shopping list."
By creating your list at several stores, you can find out where you'll get most of what you need with the biggest savings. And as well as the app works for weekly shopping, Weaver says she's really looking forward to using it on Black Friday.
She adds, "I'm thinking ahead to Black Friday and I think this is going to be amazing. I know it's still fun to tool through the paper circulars, but to be making your game plan of what stores you're going to hit, price-matching, figure out who has what for what price, and having it all in your hand to have a shopping list. I think it's going to be fantastic."
