3 Penn State students facing charges in stabbing

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - April 13, 2014

The three suspects were scheduled for a Wednesday preliminary hearing. The most serious charge, aggravated assault, was filed against Brandon Frick, 21, who attends Penn State's Altoona campus. He was in Centre County Prison on $10,000 bail.

Frick did not appear to have a listed phone number in Altoona and court papers did not list a lawyer for him.

Police said the two victims had come to visit a female friend early Saturday morning.

At her third-floor apartment door, they were allegedly met by the three suspects, who told them to leave. Police say one of the victims then attempted to call the woman, prompting the suspects to emerge from the apartment, each armed with what appeared to be a knife.

The victims were injured as they attempted to flee down the stairs, police said. One victim was stabbed in the back and the other sustained a small incision near his shoulder blade and an eye contusion.
