Suspect arrested in multiple burglaries in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with several burglaries in Center City.

49-year-old Kemico Washington from the 900 block of Poplar Street was arrested Monday.

Police say Washington is responsible for three burglaries in Center City over the last two months on the 1200 block of Hamilton Street, 300 block of Race Street and 1200 block of Arch Street.

Detectives were able to recover a Dell laptop and Canon camera which were taken during the burglaries.

Washington has been charged with multiple burglaries and related offenses.
