Basement fire displaces family of 4 in Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A basement fire inside a house displaced a family of four in Camden, New Jersey.

The blaze broke out before midnight Thursday on the 1400 block of North Chesapeake Road.

Firefighters got the blaze under control within 25 minutes, officials said.

Fire crews were on the scene of a basement fire inside a house in Camden, New Jersey.

A mother and her three sons, ages 9, 12 and 14, made it out of the home safely.

The American Red Cross was called to provide the displaced family with emergency assistance including temporary housing.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
