Body found near playground in Chester Heights

CHESTER HEIGHTS, Pa. (WPVI) -- State police are investigating the discovery of a body near a playground in Delaware County.

The male body was found Monday afternoon on Bishop Road in the Valleybrook development in Chester Heights.

Sources tell Action News that the body may have been there since last spring. Neighbors even noticed a smell during the summer.

Police have not released information pertaining to the victim's identity.

There is also no word on how the person died.
