Woman killed in Bordentown Township crash

BORDENTOWN TWP., N.J. -- A woman was killed in a crash in Bordentown Township, Burlington County.

It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on northbound I-295 near the Mercer County line.

Police say the driver of a car lost control, went off the roadway, and crashed into nearby woods.

The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name is not being released until next of kin is notified.

State police are investigating.
