2 suspects sought after Upper Southampton bank robbery

Police say the crash happened as officers were responding to a bank robbery at a TD Bank on Street Road.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are looking for two suspects following an armed bank robbery in Upper Southampton, Bucks County.

The bank robbery happened at the TD Bank at 1110 Street Road late Tuesday morning.

Police say two suspects - described as black males wearing hoodies and fake beards - entered the bank armed with handguns.

While inside, the suspects forced bank employees to open the vault and then fled in a gray SUV with New York plates.

There was one customer inside the bank during the robbery. No one was injured.

A short time after the robbery, a police car was involved in a crash at the intersection of Street Road and Davisville Road.

Police say the driver was responding to the bank robbery at the time of the crash.

The officer has been taken to the hospital.
