CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a 31-year-old Camden man ran to a friend's house to get help after being shot but he later died at the hospital.
Officers were called around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday with the report of a gunshot victim near 8th and Jefferson streets.
Police were led to a home in the 1900 block of South 8th Street where they found Jahid Hudson suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation reveals that Hudson ran from the area of Ferry Avenue to the home of a friend to seek help.
No word on a motive or any possible suspects.
