Man shot, mortally wounded in Camden identified

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a 26-year-old man has died after being shot in Camden.

The shooting happened just after 12 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Walnut Street.

Police arrived to find Jahquae Walker of Camden inside a home. He had been shot once in the abdomen.

Medics rushed him to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:58 a.m.

Investigators are working to determine who shot Walker and why.
