Checkers robbery caught on camera in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A thief used the early morning hours to pull off a heist inside a South Philadelphia fast food restaurant.

Surveillance video was taken inside the Checkers along the 2000 block of Oregon Avenue.

The suspect broke in around 6 a.m. last month, pried open several cash registers and took the money that was inside.

He then took off.

Anyone who recognizes the man in this surveillance video is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.
