CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A mother from Delaware is seeking justice in the killing of her 17-year-old son.

The high school student was found shot to death in the woods on Saturday in Chester, Delaware County.

17-year-old Taymir Germany's mother came to Chester police Wednesday afternoon looking for answers about what happened to her son.

"For this unfortunate event to happen to us in this young man's life, it's hard," mother Lamesha Germany said.

Germany wants to know who killed Taymir.

The Wilmington resident has been driving around Chester, talking to neighbors and hounding detectives, hoping for answers about the killing.

Late Saturday, someone passing through the woods near 11th and Palmer came upon Taymir's lifeless body.

He'd been shot once in the torso and died alone on a path in the dark.

"He was in the car with some guys, led to that area, taken through the woods, and assassinated," Germany said.

Taymir was a senior at A.I. duPont High School in Greenville, Delaware.

The superintendent sent a letter home that said in part, "a young life was taken too soon."

Echoing the superintendent, Lamesha says her son was athletic and well-liked, definitely not a troublemaker. She wishes Chester police would be more forthcoming with her about what they might know about her son's death.

"I'm more angry than I could cry. I cried enough. I need answers. I need results, to no avail to Chester Police Department. They're helping in no kind of way," Germany said.

We were not able to get through to speak with anyone about the case at Chester police.

This is the second incidence of gun violence to impact duPont High School in the last two weeks.

On October 27th, a recent graduate was shot in New Castle County. He remains in critical condition.
