NEW YORK (WPVI) -- A Pennsylvania company has recalled more than 20,000 pounds of chicken nuggets because they could cause food poisoning.
Murray's Inc. said a sample of gluten-free breaded chicken nuggets tested positive for staphylococcal bacteria.
The 12-ounce boxes of "Bell & Evans gluten-free breaded chicken breast nuggets" have a "best by" date of March 25, 2016.
The nuggets were sold at local grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Superfresh and Giant.
The problem was found by Colorado Agriculture Inspectors doing routine sampling at stores.
Earlier this week, Barber Foods and Aspen Foods also recalled nearly two million pounds of frozen chicken each because of a possivle salmonella contamination.
