Two men are in hot water today for an ill advised prank involving a gun inside the Sussex County courthouse in Delaware.

Two men are in hot water today for an ill advised prank involving a gun inside the Sussex County courthouse in Delaware.

According to reports, a Chief Bailiff pointed his service weapon at a deputy attorney general as a practical joke

A police officer who was also in the meeting room became alarmed and drew his own service weapon in return.

In the end, no shots were fired.

The Chief Bailiff has reportedly been suspended without pay.

The Delaware Department of Justice confirms a prosecutor has also been suspended for allegedly coaxing the Bailiff into the prank.

A judge has reportedly told Bailiffs they can no longer carry firearms in the courthouse.

The incident remains under investigation.
