2 young boys struck by vehicle in Logan

LOGAN (WPVI) -- Two young boys were injured, one critically, after being struck by a vehicle in the Logan section of Philadelphia.

The accident happened at approximately 1:13 p.m. Wednesday on the 4600 block of Broad Street.

Police say a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old boy were hit by a van while attempting to cross the street.

Both were taken to Einstein Medical Center before being transported to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The 2-year-old suffered head trauma and is in critical condition.

The 4-year-old suffered a broken right leg and is in stable condition.

The striking vehicle remained on the scene.
