Mayor Nutter honors local businessman

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Congratulations Monday to a business leader who won honors at Philadelphia City Hall.

Gerard Sweeney of Brandywine Realty Trust got the 2015 Edward Powell Award in the Mayor's Reception room with Michael Nutter doing the honors.

The $100,000 prize is given every 4 years.

The award's namesake was a successful businessman who died in 1941 but willed money to fund the award.
