CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Last year, a 65-year-old man was found dead in his Center City home, and now up to $25,000 is being offered to find his killer.

Rabbi Bill Kuhn from Congregation Rodeph Shalom says Lee Stanley was a fixture in their synagogue.

"He came to services all the time. He was a constant presence in our congregation and just everybody loved him and watched out for him," said Rabbi Kuhn.

According to people who knew him, Stanley, who was described as eccentric, had no known enemies.

At noon on Friday August 15, 2014, Stanley's body was found by workers on the floor in his living room on the 100 block of Mole Street.

He suffered a blow to the chest that proved fatal due to a previous heart condition.

To this day, his congregation is mourning his loss.

"It was just such a shock to everybody in our congregation to have lost him at all and in such a horrible way. It's just inconceivable that someone could do this," said Rabbi Kuhn.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $5,000 reward from his synagogue and up to $20,000 from the City of Philadelphia for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.

"I hope that this will help, that people might be able to come forward with a hint or a clue that will help the detectives," said Rabbi Kuhn.
