PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Some intersections in South Philadelphia will soon be getting makeovers in the name of safety.
Mural Arts Philadelphia and the South of South Neighborhood Association unveiled new ground murals Friday.
Artist Calo Rosa designed them to protect people crossing the street by making crosswalks more visible to drivers.

The work will be installed at intersections outside of two public elementary schools, Edwin Stanton and Chester Arthur.
