Police ID woman found murdered in NJ woods

FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) -- State Police detectives are seeking help as they investigate the murder of a woman found beaten to death in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Hunters discovered the body of 37-year-old Jennifer Cruz-Chavez of Bridgeton in a wooded area in Fairfield Township on Sunday afternoon.

The body was found off Buckshutem Road in the area of milepost 4.

An autopsy determined that she died of blunt force trauma.

Police are now asking for the public's help in the investigation.
