Donation jar stolen from 7-Eleven in Mantua

MANTUA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the suspect who allegedly stole a donation jar from a 7-Eleven store in Philadelphia's Mantua section early Thursday morning.

The theft took place around 4:00 a.m. inside the 7-Eleven store located on the 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue.

A man wearing dark clothing entered the store and stole the donation jar off the counter, police say.

He fled the store on foot going in an unknown direction.

Police are putting together a description and checking surveillance video.
