Dog owners celebrate "national dog day."

PHILADELPHIA -- Dozens of dog owners in Philadelphia celebrated "national dog day."

The Hotel Monaco, which is pet friendly, hosted Wednesday night's event.

Dogs could get free baths and the Red Owl Tavern offered a "Dog and Suds" happy hour.

Proceeds from the event benefit the local no kill shelter, Save Me.
