Dummy cop improves highway safety in California

YOLO COUNTY, Ca. (WPVI) -- You can call him a dummy if you want, but some California police officers say their new decoy has become an effective public safety tool.

His name is Deputy Doug.

The decoy deputy travels all around Yolo County to help slow traffic in trouble spots.

Deputy Doug doesn't say much, but his colleagues believe he's doing a great job.
