SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- There was plenty of confidence at tailgating parties Saturday outside the Linc, ahead of the game fans know is an absolute must win.
"Zero stress. Zero stress. Until we go in the game then we'll be stressed," said John Thomas of Doylestown.
"This is our season today. If we don't get past this, it's going to be a long, long winter," said Mike Fitz of Glenolden.
Filet mignon and shrimp and scallops were on the menu Saturday at Fitz' RV.
Despite the roller coaster season, he and his tailgating crew have faith the birds will grill the Redskins, keeping playoff chances alive.
"I have confidence in the Eagles," said Fitz. "Just everybody gets on the right page. Good play calling. They know it's a do or die."
"I just hope we get a good victory so we can get fans back on their feet," said Tim McIntyre of Glenolden. "I'm a die-hard Eagles fan. I think everybody else is and we're not going to give up on the birds."
After last week's loss, Eagles Nation hopes the team will flip its luck - perhaps no one more than Reid Smith, an Eagles fan who drives his RV 9 hours from North Carolina for every game.
"My wife's originally from Philly so we drive up for games and we tailgate," said Smith. "We've been at this spot every game this year. Right here."
So after investing thousands of miles and dollars in the season, what does Smith think will happen tonight?
"W. Straight W. We're going to take it home. We're going to the playoffs," said Smith.
