8-year-old girl given early acceptance, college scholarship

GARLAND, Texas (WPVI) -- Jordin Phipps is only in the third grade, but she's already got big plans for college.

She's the first 8-year-old to ever get an early acceptance into the University of North Texas. And to top it off, Jordin will receive a $10,000 scholarship when she does attend - 10 years from now.

And it's all because the school officials were just as inspired as the rest of social media after watching Jordan's now viral, motivational speech about how her passion for education.

"I am smart. I am a leader. Failure is not an option for me. Success I only moments away," she said.

In the video, Jordin is even wearing a UNT shirt and in about a decade she can officially call herself a student there.
