Man charged with stealing safe from home in Delaware

ELSMERE, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware have made an arrest in connection with a home invasion robbery in Elsmere.

27-year-old Joshua Holmes is accused of breaking into a home on the 100 block of Birch Avenue on Monday and stealing a safe at gunpoint.

A police K-9 helped to track Holmes to his home nearby.

That's where they found a gun, and the safe hidden in a shed in the backyard.

Holmes was charged and remains behind bars after failing to post bond.
