You're never too old to get benefits from exercise!
Just ask Doug Beavers.
He's 97-years-old!
And the World War II vet knows what strengthening, conditioning and focusing on his breathing can do.
Since last spring, he's been part of the Better Breathers workout at a local health center.
It's got cardio, weights, walking and stretching - all aimed at stronger breathing.
"He's 97, and he's in here Monday, Wednesday and Friday," said Brian Andrews, respiratory therapist.
"When I came here, I couldn't walk, I had to hold onto something just to move around. And now I can walk across the room," said Beavers.
Despite congestive heart failure, Beavers can still do what he loves best - ride horses.
He's already planning his 100th birthday celebration.
