EXTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Action News has learned the identities of the teen siblings killed when a pickup truck crashed into their minivan in Exton - and authorities say the driver of the truck is now facing charges.
The crash happened before 7:00 p.m. Saturday in the northbound lanes of Route 100.
Officials say 25-year-old Thomas Muir was driving under the influence in a GMC pickup truck when he slammed into a Honda Odyssey.
The force of the collision tore the minivan open.
Two teen siblings, identified as Miles Hannagan and Charlotte Hannagan, were wearing seat belts but were ejected from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four adults, including the victims' parents, were also in the minivan.
The teen's parents suffered serious injuries and were taken to Paoli Hospital where they remain in the ICU. The other two adults were treated and released.
The suspect was not harmed.
Several witnesses told police that they saw Muir driving erratically, traveling at a high rate of speed, making unsafe passing movements, and swerving before the crash.
Muir is charged with homicide by vehicle, DUI and related offenses. His bail was set at $75,000 cash.
Uwchlan Township Police are investigating.
