Brush fire burns 25 acres on grounds of Gloucester County refinery

WEST DEPTFORD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A brush fire burned overnight on the grounds of the Sunoco refinery in West Deptford Township, New Jersey.

Officials say about 25 acres were damaged in the 1200 block of Crown Point Road.

Authorities tell Action News the plant is not threatened and no one was evacuated.

The fire was brought under control around 6 a.m., officials say.

The flames cast an eerie, orange glow Friday night that could be seen miles away in Philadelphia from our Sky 6 camera located in the city's Society Hill section.

No injuries were reported.
